long time since been here

just looked at my last posting date OOPS! , well lots been going on, have now got my wedding dress, it arrived friday morning :o) and fits, and looks lovely :o) it is a burgundy deep purple, very nice, so have taken snippets from the ribbon and can match up hopefully for ties and shoes, if i cant find ties to match then may have to get material nearest match and make them, will see as yet to go out looking.
have had a few eeyore days, hence the not posting as often. but am trying to get out and about with tillee tots in the woods as this does help me tremendously. ive been really missing maggeemay, it just didnt feel the same walking without her, still feels weird but tots has taken over on the fetching game LOL, even trying to pick up a branch for me to throw for her, with much barking and grumbling because she cant LOL.

im still trying to finish of quilts ive started and come up with ideas for the bed quilt to now become a quilted bedspread, ive to get some more material after measuring etc. and also make it thicker with a 4tog duvet rather than the wadding that goes in normally. have brought some buttons to sew to hold it all together rather than trying to quilt it with the machine, so this is an ongoing project im endevouring to complete, along with the lounge quilts, one is nearly done, yes there are mistakes on it , but that just makes it all the more unique and personnel, just need to sew the border on and one is done, then get on with another.

ive been baking today, biscuits and some of these are for paul to take with him tomorrow as hes back with the outreach chemo team (who are lovely), just before xmas we donated tea bags, sugar and mugs (which they are using and were very greatfull for) so tomorrow he is taking some ginger nuts, hobnobs and chocolate hobnobs with him. only problem here is im going to have to make some more hobnobs in the week as not many left, plus the added eating from stevie, jasmin and james LOL they all like them warm from the oven, who am i to deny them such luxury.
comment from stevie today wow your kitchen smells lovely........... jasmin turns round and says well of course it does its nita's kitchen LOL.
as you might have guessed stevie stayed with us last night, her mother has gone away again for a few days, mike (stepson) also went to one of his friends this weekend, hes back later tonight so stevie is going back home later after dinner.

have a nice rib of beef cooking today for dinner, the butcher persuaded me LOL.

wedding prep update no2

these are the bridesmaid dresses, need the girls to try them on then can alter and hem etc.

paul now has his suit and shirt :D

ive just ordered and paid for my dress.......... woo hoo ............ 14 days and counting down to delivery LOL

one of my friends is making my little bag to go with my dress :o)

i have ribbons arriving ........ which are all gorgeous, cant wait to make them into bows and curly bits for the bouquets and curly bits and wrapped round for my head garland and wrapped round the bouquets, and and ............. getting so excited now. only 4 months to go.......... 4 months will be here in no time.

i still need to name and address wedding invites, will do that sometime this week, Paul has treatment tomorrow at 2pm, so normally wacked out till sunday, so gives me thursday at home sorting things out, also james doesnt come home from school thursday till 4.15 so thats an extra hour too :o)

i also need to print out instructions for the bolero tops, mark them out into patterns then can get chiffon fabric and send off to anne, so she has time to do them for me :o)

wedding preps and bits and pieces :o)

well thank fully the wedding preps are now all nicely coming together, thanks to some lovely friends i made this last year or so, and also to our families :oD everyone is brilliant and so caring, and helpful and just plain lovely :oD

so a BIG THANK YOU to all that are helping me :oD

i now have the bridesmaid dresses, friends are making bolero tops and also shawls for me.
jewelry is being made for me for the bridesmaids.
i am borrowing a blue garter from another friend, which means

what else??? o yes, my dad is paying for the disco , and has also brought james' outfit Just the waistcoat to sort out now :o)
pauls parents are paying for the reception and hall :o)
we have paid for the ceremony and all booked :o)
my mum is buying my dress, i need to order it this week :o)
the cake is being sorted by my mum :o)
the car has been arranged for me by another friend, whos brother has a white wedding car :o)

i am making the bouquets for the bridesmaids and myself, also my garland for my head :o)
we need to buy pauls suit, should hopefully get that monday :o) as there are sales on sales on with suits where i went today with my dad for his.

other wonderful friends are sending me ribbons, purple, lilac and silver........ these are being used for my head garland and also for the flower arranging in the bouquets and tieing of them :o) so a piece of everyone will be with me on the day.

and another lovely friend is making us a ring bearing cushion, james will carry this up the aisle with me :o) she is also doing the bolero chiffon tops :o)

the one major thing left to save for is our wedding rings, so that will be the next step :o)

so other than shoes and a few bits and pieces i think we may be nearly there.

ive made the wedding invites, just need to name and address them, then they will be sent.

o i need to also make three matching ties for paul, my dad and mike -pauls son (who is best man)
i am waiting on my dress for these, as can then get as close a match to colour as possible. also if i cant find a silver fronted waistcoat then will need to make or commision someone to do this for me, as never made waistcoats before LOL

ok think thats everything up to date ................

yes that is what ive been up to since last posting, as well as the normal numerous hospital visits, but i wont bore you with those.

o yes tomorrow the three of us, paul, me and james are off to see snow white and the seven dwarfs at the marlow theatre, canterbury. i brought the tickets before christmas as a surprise for paul and james, it will do the three of the world of good to have a family day out , and it fell on the right weekend aswell with pauls treatments so couldnt be better.

ok thats me for now i will try and post more, it just all gets a bit crazy round here LOL

sewing today

heres three blocks i made this afternoon / evening, they are all bluey colours, ive done these towards a quilt that is being made by jennie for the LLuest horse and pony sanctury.

hello :o)

thought id better pop on and say hello to everyone.

well paul started new lot of chemo today, fingers crossed this one will work............. we did see the surgeon / consultant yesterday and he made us feel soooooooo much better , more positive again :o) which paul definately needed, making him more settled, positive and hapier, which in turn makes me happy :o)

been a funny ol day though really, dropped james off to school 8.40, straight over to canterbury with paul, appointment was 9am we got there 9.15 due to traffic, i had to leave him 9.30 as still hadnt gone in for treatment and id not been able to find a parking space again had stopped in the drop off zone which only entitles you to 15 mins. anyway i went into canterbury to find some rings to make crumpets in, id read the parking meter thingymagigy and thought it had said £1.10 for 2 hours............ wrong it was only an hour......... anyway i went to four different shops , found them in 3, prices ranged from £8 for two to £4 for 2 for exactly the same thing ? erm how? i brought 3 pcks in the end as there was a discount buy 2 get third half price so that was £10 for 6............ i did look in wilkinsons but they didnt have any :( . well ive got them now.
i then had to hurry back to the car as only an hour LOL.......... what am i going to do now????
decided to go to sainsbugs whilst over there, picked up the pasta we like and had a look for soya beans......... no soya beans....... mmmmm decided to pop into asda, had a coffee and sandwich whilst in there and also looked for soya beans.......... no soya beans..... mmmm still got over an hour left, deposited shopping in car and went back into asda....... had a look at the sales items in george nothing for me but i found a nice pair of charcoal grey trousers for james and a checkered shirt and a jumper and a navy blue strippy shirt............. so he is finally kitted out in the next size range and all for £15 so not too bad . james likes them :o)
then decided id best go back to the hospital paul must have nearly finished by now........ No .......
another hour. finally got home at 2.45pm. had to unload car , put shopping away then go and pick up james from school, came home and washed up, cleaned kitchen like you do LOL ...... always know when ive been out all day nothing done LOL
poor tillee tots had missed us too, was all over us and very clingy , shes still snuggled up now but with paul instead of me...... i get up and down to often for her.........

just put james to bed hes all snuggly buggly under his duvet and knitted blanket :o)

our car has gone tonight aswell, our friend has taken it with him so he can get it mot'd for us tomorrow and will bring it back tomorrow night. we have the use of his if we need to. just hope it passes without costing too much. then later we will get it in with ol frank for the dent to be sorted out.
james and i will be walking to school tomorrow with tots, need to start walking more , and next door will pick him up after school choir practise so we dont have to walk in the dark :o)

so think we all sorted now, tomorrow becons a kitchen and sewing day i think......... need hob nobs, gingers, and crumpets . also need to do my dads two other arm chair covers and make a couple of blocks towards the quilt thats being made for the lluest trust.
so see how i do tomorrow.

just wanted to wish everyone a lovely warm happy new year.

ive still got our tree up at the moment, will aim to take it down sunday i think, i normally take it down today but just feel it needs to stay up a little longer.

ive prepared all the dinner for today, first roast of the year, and its now nicely cooking. my dad is coming up today for dinner with us too, so that will be nice.

at the moment i have paul and james playing monsters , jumping around like lunatics LOL

best go and get on with the dinner, my dads arrived :o)
