hello everyone, long time no blog.
i cant remember a lot about last year it all went in a blurr, im still having councilling, as is james. stevie is doing betterer now and has just got engaged to her boyfriend. mike is on his phase 2 army training and also doing really well :) im so proud of the 3 of them as would paul be :D
ive only got mollee now, as had to have tillee put to sleep last year, she mourned for paul and her life with him, started getting nasty and lashed out at james missing his face by mills, it was not good and a very sad time, in my heart paul spoke to me and said to give her to him hed sort her out :) we burried her with all her favourite things in the back garden under the goosegog bush , just stevie, james, molls and me, had our own little ceremony.
ive got 6 chooks again, 3 originals, i i hatched 2 yr ago and 2 new ones from a friend, they all seem happy, and in the mornings stoop down for strokes and tickles lol x
ive also now got 2 kittens ninja and pixie, they will be a yr old in august. gorgeous wee things and have brought some fun and laughter back to the home, mollee loves them to bits, the chooks put up with them as they go and lay in their run lol. when i go up to the chooks the kits are there with me saying come on mum we want strokes too lol
so my menagerie is still strong very loving and keep us entertained lol x

im trying very hard to make an evening meal each day now, as everything went by the wayside for a while. its been hard going and some days it still feels impossible to cope, but i have to i have james and stevie who need me, i feel paul around me all the time, feel his love :)
its coming up to our wedding aniversary in a few days time, 23rd May should have been 2 yrs. mixed emotions, last year i got very drunk and poorly oops.... but the neighbours did light some fireworks for me which was a nice close to the day, not sure what to do this year, maybe just remember by myself.

ive lost contact with some special friends , i havnt meant to its just been so difficult to correspond, i didnt send any xmas cards out i couldnt bring myself to do them, although we had a pleasant day, my dad, brother and sil came for xmas day, stevie, mike and me dad were here boxing day. my friends and family have been amazing in fact they have kept me going and supported me so much i dont know what id have done without them.

James decorated his bedroom easter 2 walls are red 2 walls egypian gold, it looks really good, and we moved it around so he had more room for his drums :) of which hes doing really well at, plays along to most tunes really proud of him :) he starts secondary september *shock* dont know where that times gone either.

think thats about all really at the moment, just wanted to say hi and yes im still here...... just lol x

my beloved husband, Paul Magrino, sandly passed away in the early hours of sunday 14th february, he is now at peace from the awfull cancer that ravaged his body.
it is awfully quiet here without him, and we are all missing him terribly :( .
he went peacefully in bed by my side, the way he and i had wished for.

just like to thank my husband for all that he did for us, all the happy memories i have of him. i love you so much, you will always be in my heart and never forgotten. dont forget you have our farm and woodland to grow and build, ready for when i join you once again. take care my darling .

well once id managed to open the gate, i was able to go and let them out LOL

well in the end 6 came out, went back up 1/2 hour later with some warm porridge for them nad finally managed to coax the other 2 out LOL

very pink toes all day, james cleared one of the bench seats off and most of the day they sat up there LOL
now nicely snuggled back up in bed :o)

took mollee out aswell earlier with james (school closed for the day due to yes the snow LOL) he took his sledge with him so could go down the hills and banks into the woods etc, had aa super time, mols was leaping around like a loopylala , everytime james went down the slopes shed chase after him, then come running back up to me barking, if james took too long getting of the sledge the other end, she'd run back done jump all over him licking his face, saying come on then, i want to chase you down the hills LOL, was so funny, we finally came home and dried off, warmed ourselves up with hot chocolate and marshmallows and hot buttered toast. very nice :o)

couldnt take tillee, in season and we'd have lost her in the deep snow LOL too cold for her as shes just a tots :o)

went for a lovely this morning with the girls in the woods, took the camera so paul could enjoy it to, hes not well enough to go out in the snow and ice now, so thought id take pictures for him :o)

this is my log, when its dry ill often sit here thinking and relaxing with nature, very calming place for me :o)

thought id best pop in and say hello to everyone LOL, had a few traumatic weeks, and just havnt had the energy to do everything again. i think, fingers crossed that we have paul's pain control under control, hes on morphine now and this seems to have taken the horrendous, debilitating pain away, he is though very tired still all the time, im hoping once the pain relief really starts working he will be more his old self.

one of our friends has arranged a special trip on the euro trains for james, he is sooooooo looking forward to it, only downfall will have to have a day of school, but i think this makes up for it LOL, hes train mad to say the least ...........

only a quick post, as im off to my step sisters wedding today, taking james with me, so hopefully have a good time, pauls brother is coming up here to spend the day , so i know hes ok :o)

well paul now seems back on the mend, thank fully was only the infection , also the cancer changing in the liver can cause temperatures aparently. hes still got to have this heart check scan, but im sure that is fine :o) so looks like its not yet the start to the end, and hopefully will have longer with him :o) so scary it was, we have so much still planned to do together and as a family, things everyone has set their hearts on doing.............. we will do them and more :o)

went to see a friend yesterday after cycling to the park with James , ended up having lunch there and lots of chitta chatter LOL, got hugs from little emma and amy ive missed them over the summer holidays, they all had a super time, think theyd missed james and he them too LOL

my chicks are growing fast, dont look much like chicks now, still cant sex them yet though, mildred is back to laying me eggs, at night when i put them all to bed, i often find betty snuggled up with them LOL, mildred is back on the roosting bar. must take some more pics.

most of the garden is now harvested, still have a few leeks, carrots, tomatoes ripening off. had the last of the lettuce yesterday, only runners left are for seeds, french beans coming up today. carrots i will harvest a few more, then maybe leave some in the ground, not sure paul will probably want me to get them all up so they dont grow any bigger LOL, potatoes we ended up with a huge sack full :o), still have spinache up there growing, trouble is no matter how much i pick, it grows back and i keep getting holes in the leaves............. chooks dont mind they love soinache and its great for the eggs :o)

just one week left of school holidays now, i still need to get james some new pe shorts, plimsoles, trainers, jumpers and a new tie................... maybe ill get there this week LOL

well pauls in hospital again, he had some real high temperatures over the weekend, started with a lot of pain friday morning, then come the evening 38.6 . he wouldnt go to the hospital friday night, but yesterday am we saw the chemo nurses and he had no choice as could have been a life threatening infection, fortunately its not, but they still dont know 100% where the infection is, they think its in the liver and the cancer is causing it. they are going to do an echo on his heart today to double check no infection there or piece of clot from his arm, this is just a precautionle check as his plateletes are low and with the temperatures his heart beat is a bit irratic. hopefully i can bring him home later today.

i just feel so tired at the moment, having spent the whole of yesterday in the hospital gets a bit draining.
chemo on hold till 7/9 but not sure if hes going to continue this course or not yet, when he wasnt on any he felt heaps better, and quality is what counts now. he does have a ct scan booked for end of september, and think he will decide then.

wow we had a supertime tonight over sandwich bay, first time in the sea for mollee and she loved it, even tillee this year was right in the water :o)

its been such a hot day here today it was lovely to go down to the beach and have a paddle and splash around in the water, the girls cooled off, we cooled off and all of us had a lovely time :o)

paul and i have had loads of chats and have both said all the time he is well enough we will do our upmost to have good fun times, happy memories for the future, try and live life to the fullest we possibly can, try and stay as chilled out as we can, as least amount of stress as possible :o)

i have to tell you 7 things about me you dont already know?????? this could be hard LOL

1. im a qualified chef, but chose to go down the paper chain instead.
2. when i was little i was a real tom boy, making camps and climbing trees.
3. used to go off all day, cycling horse riding etc. mum never knew where i was in the summer holidays LoL
4. bit of a rebel , i dont really like conformity, the army would never have suited me. too much of a free spirit :o)
5. love weepy films
6. always seem to have milions of craft ideas flying through my head, just not enough time in the day to do them.
7. i used to do a lot of drawing, painting, charcoal drawings etc. perhaps i should start again :o)

ok not too bad then managed 7 things :o)

we met up with some friends tuesday, and went to have a look at the refurbished dover castle keep, had a superdooper day out, and some of the refurbishments they have done were really good. they also had a couple of actors going round as previous king , telling us the history was really good the children all had a wonderfull day.

we went for a lovely walk yesterday over the nature reserve, and WOW over a hundred easily of painted lady butterflies, there was also meadow blues, peacocks, red admirals, meadow browns, just an amazing site to see, ive taken a few pics hope you can see them all :o)

i moved the chicks into the main chicken area today, they were up there with mildred but seperated, so the others had got used to them. they love it, and such funny shenanagons , we've had loads of laughs watching them today, so thought i d share them with you, so you can see how much they've already grown.

id just like to thank everyone for all their love, support and kind words.

i went to see the counsillor yesterday, she is lovely, knows instantly how im feeling after explaining it all to her, from paul first collapsing, to the recent life expectancy news. we will be starting properly in august and she is going to concentrate on trying to even my emotions out so im able to handle things emotionally easierly.

o and all my mixed up feelings and emotions are perfectly normal (me being called normal ?? think thats a first LOL)

so we continue to ride the storm and take each day as it comes, setting little monthly goals to do or look forward to.

as for poor paul, chemo restarted monday, fine till yesterday , its kicked in and he is feeling very tired, sick, headachey .......... going over to oncology outreach today to collect clexane, so will see if his dosage can be reduced slightly, its supposed to be quality of life now, last night was anything but, hed had enough big style............... wasnt good.

as for my little chicks ill have to take another pic, their little feathers are growing so sweet :oD and we have a new polecat baby. paul has called him "Basil" LOL he is actually the grandson of barney and puff who are taking care of him with bandit.... ill have to get a pic up of him too.

struggling emotionally at the moment

im struggling a bit at the moment with my emotions being all over the place, hence not a lot of posts lately.

we received some pretty grim news last friday from kings hospital in london. paul has been given 2 - 5 years if we're lucky. pretty bleak outlook really, especially as up till monday last week we were told his cancer was treatable. its taken me a week to sort of get my head around it, but i havnt really, ive just blanked the future out at the moment, my only way of dealing with it. how do you keep someone you love positive with news like that?? he restarts a new chemo a week monday, hopefully not to many side effects like last time, the oncology nurses have told me if he wont ring if bad reaction then im too, its a matter of paul have quality of life now.

its real hard to deal with, he says, like me, waited all our lives to meet each other (we met 6 years ago) finally get married and now this. hes been asked by relations if there is anything he hasnt done that hed like to do etc. no he just wants longer to be with me, has everything else hes always wanted.

i think it makes it harder to accept at the moment because he still looks so well, he is healthy in every other way. just the bowel cancer in the liver.... just LOL ................

im going to start seeing a cancer councillor week wednesday, and see if that can help me understand it all a bit more, and help me stay strong for paul, james, mike and stevie.

i just dont know anymore , its so hard. we're taking each day as it comes and trying to make the most of it, doing things we've put off in the past, like stopping at a pub, having a meal out etc. so just keep going i guess until he makes a turn for the worse. i know its not written in stone, but we do know he wont make old age with me.

good grief

good grief its nearly a month since i last posted.

lots been happening here, some good some :o) not so good :o(

so the good first, meet our new additions :o) arent they just sooooooo adorable, 4 so far, 2 eggs left maybe they will , maybe they wont........ i think possibly another will but we will have to wait a little longer to see, these mostly hatched out today, had one yesterday, so might get the other two tomorrow :o) mildred as you can see is a very proud mummy indeed.

now the not so good news, we saw the proffesor monday, and the chemo had not worked as it should have after all, and not only has it started growing again but has also damaged pauls liver now.............. and then he asked us if we wanted to have a chat about pauls life expectancy SHOCK...... is an understatement........ we didnt , so that chat will be another time. however it did put a BIG downer on us....... also a lump came up under pauls arm 2 weeks ago, we now know what it is another clot.......... this could have been avoided if the line had come out back in april, he hasnt had any treatments since then as his body needed the break, we've just had weekly trips to have it flushed and cleaned. so hes back on clexane injections too. the line at present can not yet be removed either as the clot has formed around it again.......... unbelievable really.

he was going to start a new chemo monday, but that is now on hold as we have a consultation at kings in london this friday, we went up there 2 weeks ago for a scan, so now we will see what they can do. we need to get paul in remission. we now know the cancer will return even after alternate treatment and more chemo, but we need to get to the remission stage first, then worry about it later.

so as you can see very up and down here at the moment, but we are trying to stay positive and hopefully get some answers friday.

one week to go then, then its wedding day, where has the time gone ? i think im there, just the flowers to do and i found some yesterday that will look lovely in my bouquet :o) so next friday ill be buying flowers and making into bouguets :o)

the hen night last week was very nice, and they had all clumped together to buy paul and me a night away in the bridal suit, how lovely was that, evening meal, bed and breakfast :o)
pauls stag night tonight in a lovely country pub not far from here, the numbers have increased and think he will have near on 20 going lol. just hope he can stay awake long enough and not feel to bad the next day, as he tends to get very tired lately.

mollee is settling in nicely, all fur and still such a baby, loves company and snuggles still cries (although not at night now) likes to lay on my shoulders trying to eat my hair, then slides down the front of me for more snuggles, such a cutie :o) tots loves her, at the moment mollee is laying ontop of tillee in tillee's bed, lovely sight, they play well together, both very talkative to each other (which is so funny and nice). will post more pics up soon :o)

the chooks are all happy and we are getting 5 eggs a day now, not sure why not 6 as have 6 chooks, i think two are laying alternate days, all seem well, eating loads lol and their favourite treats are corn, yogurt and cauliflower lol

wedding update

three gorgeous shawls from alice, all shimmering they are, photo does not do them justice, they are lovely :o) two deep purples and a silvery one.

everything is very nearly sorted now, i just need to buy flowers to make into three bouquets, and two little possies to go into the baskets with a little teddy and butterflies. james needs new shoes, which i will be getting next weekend, paul and james shirts are washed and pressed ready.

my hen night tonight, and pauls stag night next week then its the wedding. how quick has that come round.............

nicki came and trial ran my hair do for the day, will look lovely :o) and discussed how to do the girls hairs, so they are sorted out :o)

brought some jewelery for me, i was going to wear pearls but the necklace and earrings we found are just perfect for my dress, which will be properly unvealed to you all after the wedding, cant put a pic up before incase paul sees it, as its a surprise for on the day :o)

paul decided i needed a new fur baby, and brought me Mollee shes not quite 7 weeks old yet, but a real sweety, tots seems ok with her which is good :o) she is a whippet x greyhound so might get a bit tall LOL anything from 23 - 26 " at the shoulder, im hoping she takes after the whippet more and stays smaller :o)

we only had 3/4 hour with crying when we went to bed, so not too bad, and shes already molleefide me this morning climbing in my hair LOL

RIP Uncle Roy

id just like to dedicate this post to my wonderfull, caring, loving, thoughfull, gentle uncle roy, who we sadly lost today. he is no longer in any pain, and now resting in peace.

he will be greatly missed. he had a wonderfull life and you couldnot have met a nicer person in your life, i feel very blessed to have known him and been able to love him like i do, i spent many a summer holiday, and christmas holiday with him, learning all about life and creativity, fishing and prawning, wood work and gardening. he gave so much.

thank you uncle roy, i will always love you, and miss you, thank you for being a special part of my life and sharing so much with me.

wow this is my 100th post :o)

have been busy sewing today, finally made my new peg bag, handle to hang up

long handle which i put round my neck to get the pegs out whilst hanging my washing out, so enambling me to have two free hands

these are two pillow cases ive made to match pauls quilt, only mine to do then LOL

and finally the two capelets i designed, drew the pattern out, i am quite pleased with these :o)

ok other updates, my uncle roy is still in hospital , very poorly, not sure how long he has, we just want to make him as comfortable as possible, with no pain. the nurses there all love him, think hes great, well he is the kindest, gentlest man ive ever known. will be very sad when he leaves us, but equally i do not want him to suffer .

well finally finished my head piece, all handmade ribbon flowers each sewn onto the ring, had to get more ribbon to finish it, but finally complete. and im quite happy with it, just need those clear combs to attach to stays in my hair for the day :o)

James Birthday

its my little lads birthday today, hes 9 already........... still cant believe where the years have gone. ive made him a triple chocolate malteser cake , as you can see.
a roast dinner tonight, stevie louse is also coming up for dinner which will be nice, mike has football tonigh so will be popping in but unable to stay for dinner.

ive made these today, oaty ginger cookies for my uncle roy, these are suitable for diabetics and he loves them LOL.
unfortunately he was admitted to hospital monday evening with severe pain and unable to walk.
hes had a type of leukimea for about 20 years, no treatment for it and it was mild. unfortunately (we think was triggered when my grandma went 3 years ago now) it has progressed and they have said it has now gone into the bones, which is why he is in so much pain :o( , he will be 80 in august and i know hes had a good life, hes a very kind, gentle, caring, loving man, wouldnt hurt a fly infact he nursed my grandma right to the end even with his own ailments.
i saw him yesterday and he seems fine inhimself but in a lot of pain still, he was saying he knew when he was due a painkiller as the pain started increasing again. they are keeping him in for a few days to see how he goes. he wants to still come to the wedding 23rd May so we're hoping and praying he will be able to get back on his feet to do this, as they say where theres a will theres a way, hes eating and drinking fine, so positive thoughts he will make it :o)
i was feeling very sad and low yesterday over it all, and became very giddy almost drunk tired, im feeling better this morning and will be popping over later after ive collected james from school, can only be a quick visit today as james birthday and ive promised to cook a roast beef dinner for him. as he was moved to a ward yesterday evening i can only go during visiting hours 3 - 9 , hence im here and not there.

been a bit awol again, very hectic here at the moment, with wedding preps etc. also have days where i just cant seem to get words formed in my head to write about LOL

we've two new additions to our flock, milly and molly two little brown chooks, they are now settling in well with the others and 6 looks so much better in the garden, and we're now getting between 4 and 5 eggs a day :o)

we sorted their area out yesterday, moved their home as new grass underneath it, they loved it.

also planted the early potatoes out and build the cold house and plastic greenhouse, ready to start planting in a few weeks, im glad we didnt plant anything else yesterday though as had a heavy frost this morning.

its pauls last chemo today, before scan friday , then we have to wait till 27 april for the results, which be hellish, at least no treatments for 3 weeks, just the line to be flushed every week.

before i dropped paul off, i was dreading it, knowing that he will be sooooooo poorly again for 4 days, then slowly start to feel better, its so draining, im just so glad this is it till after we see the prof again, really dont think i could cope with another in a fortnights time, it just seems never ending . i think its the unknown that is the worse, if this treatment is working then we know he will have to have another 6 sessions, however i think it will be easier as we'd know it was working. its the not knowing is it, isnt it kind of thing, yes they have others , but after being so sick with this one, we just hope it is working. and dont get the same as last time, sorry its not and its grown. paul is at the moment thinking the worse, maybe then if bad news again then wont hit us like a tonne of bricks again.

we both had a super time, and the rain forcast turned out to be sunshine :o) then we walked along the harbour and brought some fish and chips before heading back up the old cobbled high street, another sad thing was the rock shop had gone, we used to stand and watch them making the rock and sweets years ago, grew up with it, looks like its been gone for a while too :o( , we had a wonder then came back home.

morning , been busy again ospitals etc, etc.....

james and i are off today to see another steam train and hopefully get another ride onit :o) hes veryyyyyyy excited and keeps asking how long , when we going, can we go now .... you get the drift LOL. anyway leaving in an hour :o)
the chooks are all coming on real well, had an egg yesterday nearly same size as normal egg :o) and we're getting 2 - 3 everyday now, Mildred does create after shes laid an egg though very noisy LOL.

we've also been teaching james how to tell the time properly the last few nights, and think hes got it, he did know hour, half hour, 1/4 hours but had problems with the other ones and to and after. once hes confident with this way round, then we will be showing him ie: 7.40 etc. after that the 24hr clock, its only taken 5-10mins for the last 3 nights and done :o) he also feels happier knowing.

hes also getting on better with homework, and will actually sit and do it on his own now, learning spellings too, think its just concentration with him, keeping him focused.

we still havnt put in the forms to see about relocation nearer to sandwich, problem is we do like it here, the garden is all set out now for us, everything as we want it and its taken us 6 years to get it this way, few more bits to finish which we will do this summer. so bit of a dilema here.
we have talked and to james and explained that if he doesnt get into grammer, or sandwich tech then i will home educate him, and he can then also do more group activities, he understands that we do not want him to go to the two local secondary schools.

been a while again, im still here, just been busy again with hospital visits, sorting the chooks and garden out etc etc... you know LOL
its another lovely day here today, cant beat the sunshine for making you feel better. our chooks are all now laying, mildred and madge nearly everyday, babs has now got the swing of things and is laying proper eggs with proper shells and only one, instead of hardly anyshell 1" egg folowed by very fragile egg shell egg. and she lays by the coop door on the left in the sawdust .......... mildred seems to lay in the far corner near the straw area, and madge lays in the straw where they are all supposed to lay LoL. and little betty shes laid one egg so far under the cherry tree LOL, i know its hers as its darker and speckled . hoping she will lay another soon been 3 days since she has.
im starting to feel brighter, and not mourning for maggee as much as i was, have managed to go out for more walks too, still feels really odd without her there though. we had a film developed from the old camera the other day and found loads of mags as she was growing up, such a sweety.
tillee is sitting on my leg again like a cat LOL i suppose thats little dogs for you.

the wedding plans are all coming along nicely, not much else to do now or get, and im currently making ribbon roses to go round my head piece with other ribbons. trouble is i can only get 2 done before my hands stop functioning on me and then i cant feel the needle or the ribbon. oh well plenty of time and ive managed to make 7 so far :o)

finally found a table suitable for my knitting machine, £5 and set it all up yesterday, need to oil it a bit more and check it over, maintenance/service. then should be ok, was a bit stiff when i tried it yesterday.............. after several failed attempts....... id missed a page in my excitment in getting it working............ sent an SOS out and a lovely friend phoned me and went through it with me :o) isnt it lovely having nice friends.. James thinks it amazing (the knitting machine) as he saw it set up before going to a party then on to his grandads for the weekend. think it was a WOW MUM lol . and then a close inspection to see how it all works........ thats the engineering brain coming out then. i did have to take the back arm off it last night though after it attacked paul lol.

dont know what else we have planned for today, its sunny but the wind is cold, too early to plant the potatoes yet, i like to wait till the end of march, it gets quite cold up here and we've been known to have heavy frosts when everywhere else is clear. last week we had 3 days of frosts and snow covering on another. they are all in the shed chitting anyway then come end march will get them into the ground and the plastic greenhouses errected and seeds sown. I do love spring time , planting then watching and waiting for the first shoots to appear, such excitement when they start growing.

just looked at my last posting date OOPS! , well lots been going on, have now got my wedding dress, it arrived friday morning :o) and fits, and looks lovely :o) it is a burgundy deep purple, very nice, so have taken snippets from the ribbon and can match up hopefully for ties and shoes, if i cant find ties to match then may have to get material nearest match and make them, will see as yet to go out looking.
have had a few eeyore days, hence the not posting as often. but am trying to get out and about with tillee tots in the woods as this does help me tremendously. ive been really missing maggeemay, it just didnt feel the same walking without her, still feels weird but tots has taken over on the fetching game LOL, even trying to pick up a branch for me to throw for her, with much barking and grumbling because she cant LOL.

im still trying to finish of quilts ive started and come up with ideas for the bed quilt to now become a quilted bedspread, ive to get some more material after measuring etc. and also make it thicker with a 4tog duvet rather than the wadding that goes in normally. have brought some buttons to sew to hold it all together rather than trying to quilt it with the machine, so this is an ongoing project im endevouring to complete, along with the lounge quilts, one is nearly done, yes there are mistakes on it , but that just makes it all the more unique and personnel, just need to sew the border on and one is done, then get on with another.

ive been baking today, biscuits and some of these are for paul to take with him tomorrow as hes back with the outreach chemo team (who are lovely), just before xmas we donated tea bags, sugar and mugs (which they are using and were very greatfull for) so tomorrow he is taking some ginger nuts, hobnobs and chocolate hobnobs with him. only problem here is im going to have to make some more hobnobs in the week as not many left, plus the added eating from stevie, jasmin and james LOL they all like them warm from the oven, who am i to deny them such luxury.
comment from stevie today wow your kitchen smells lovely........... jasmin turns round and says well of course it does its nita's kitchen LOL.
as you might have guessed stevie stayed with us last night, her mother has gone away again for a few days, mike (stepson) also went to one of his friends this weekend, hes back later tonight so stevie is going back home later after dinner.

have a nice rib of beef cooking today for dinner, the butcher persuaded me LOL.

wedding prep update no2

these are the bridesmaid dresses, need the girls to try them on then can alter and hem etc.

paul now has his suit and shirt :D

ive just ordered and paid for my dress.......... woo hoo ............ 14 days and counting down to delivery LOL

one of my friends is making my little bag to go with my dress :o)

i have ribbons arriving ........ which are all gorgeous, cant wait to make them into bows and curly bits for the bouquets and curly bits and wrapped round for my head garland and wrapped round the bouquets, and and ............. getting so excited now. only 4 months to go.......... 4 months will be here in no time.

i still need to name and address wedding invites, will do that sometime this week, Paul has treatment tomorrow at 2pm, so normally wacked out till sunday, so gives me thursday at home sorting things out, also james doesnt come home from school thursday till 4.15 so thats an extra hour too :o)

i also need to print out instructions for the bolero tops, mark them out into patterns then can get chiffon fabric and send off to anne, so she has time to do them for me :o)

well thank fully the wedding preps are now all nicely coming together, thanks to some lovely friends i made this last year or so, and also to our families :oD everyone is brilliant and so caring, and helpful and just plain lovely :oD

so a BIG THANK YOU to all that are helping me :oD

i now have the bridesmaid dresses, friends are making bolero tops and also shawls for me.
jewelry is being made for me for the bridesmaids.
i am borrowing a blue garter from another friend, which means
"something borrowed" yes

"something old" yes
"something new" yes
what else??? o yes, my dad is paying for the disco , and has also brought james' outfit Just the waistcoat to sort out now :o)
pauls parents are paying for the reception and hall :o)
we have paid for the ceremony and all booked :o)
my mum is buying my dress, i need to order it this week :o)
the cake is being sorted by my mum :o)
the car has been arranged for me by another friend, whos brother has a white wedding car :o)

i am making the bouquets for the bridesmaids and myself, also my garland for my head :o)
we need to buy pauls suit, should hopefully get that monday :o) as there are sales on sales on with suits where i went today with my dad for his.

other wonderful friends are sending me ribbons, purple, lilac and silver........ these are being used for my head garland and also for the flower arranging in the bouquets and tieing of them :o) so a piece of everyone will be with me on the day.

and another lovely friend is making us a ring bearing cushion, james will carry this up the aisle with me :o) she is also doing the bolero chiffon tops :o)

the one major thing left to save for is our wedding rings, so that will be the next step :o)

so other than shoes and a few bits and pieces i think we may be nearly there.

ive made the wedding invites, just need to name and address them, then they will be sent.

o i need to also make three matching ties for paul, my dad and mike -pauls son (who is best man)
i am waiting on my dress for these, as can then get as close a match to colour as possible. also if i cant find a silver fronted waistcoat then will need to make or commision someone to do this for me, as never made waistcoats before LOL

ok think thats everything up to date ................

yes that is what ive been up to since last posting, as well as the normal numerous hospital visits, but i wont bore you with those.

o yes tomorrow the three of us, paul, me and james are off to see snow white and the seven dwarfs at the marlow theatre, canterbury. i brought the tickets before christmas as a surprise for paul and james, it will do the three of the world of good to have a family day out , and it fell on the right weekend aswell with pauls treatments so couldnt be better.

thought id better pop on and say hello to everyone.

well paul started new lot of chemo today, fingers crossed this one will work............. we did see the surgeon / consultant yesterday and he made us feel soooooooo much better , more positive again :o) which paul definately needed, making him more settled, positive and hapier, which in turn makes me happy :o)

been a funny ol day though really, dropped james off to school 8.40, straight over to canterbury with paul, appointment was 9am we got there 9.15 due to traffic, i had to leave him 9.30 as still hadnt gone in for treatment and id not been able to find a parking space again had stopped in the drop off zone which only entitles you to 15 mins. anyway i went into canterbury to find some rings to make crumpets in, id read the parking meter thingymagigy and thought it had said £1.10 for 2 hours............ wrong it was only an hour......... anyway i went to four different shops , found them in 3, prices ranged from £8 for two to £4 for 2 for exactly the same thing ? erm how? i brought 3 pcks in the end as there was a discount buy 2 get third half price so that was £10 for 6............ i did look in wilkinsons but they didnt have any :( . well ive got them now.
i then had to hurry back to the car as only an hour LOL.......... what am i going to do now????
decided to go to sainsbugs whilst over there, picked up the pasta we like and had a look for soya beans......... no soya beans....... mmmmm decided to pop into asda, had a coffee and sandwich whilst in there and also looked for soya beans.......... no soya beans..... mmmm still got over an hour left, deposited shopping in car and went back into asda....... had a look at the sales items in george nothing for me but i found a nice pair of charcoal grey trousers for james and a checkered shirt and a jumper and a navy blue strippy shirt............. so he is finally kitted out in the next size range and all for £15 so not too bad . james likes them :o)
then decided id best go back to the hospital paul must have nearly finished by now........ No .......
another hour. finally got home at 2.45pm. had to unload car , put shopping away then go and pick up james from school, came home and washed up, cleaned kitchen like you do LOL ...... always know when ive been out all day nothing done LOL
poor tillee tots had missed us too, was all over us and very clingy , shes still snuggled up now but with paul instead of me...... i get up and down to often for her.........

just put james to bed hes all snuggly buggly under his duvet and knitted blanket :o)

our car has gone tonight aswell, our friend has taken it with him so he can get it mot'd for us tomorrow and will bring it back tomorrow night. we have the use of his if we need to. just hope it passes without costing too much. then later we will get it in with ol frank for the dent to be sorted out.
james and i will be walking to school tomorrow with tots, need to start walking more , and next door will pick him up after school choir practise so we dont have to walk in the dark :o)

so think we all sorted now, tomorrow becons a kitchen and sewing day i think......... need hob nobs, gingers, and crumpets . also need to do my dads two other arm chair covers and make a couple of blocks towards the quilt thats being made for the lluest trust.
so see how i do tomorrow.

just wanted to wish everyone a lovely warm happy new year.

ive still got our tree up at the moment, will aim to take it down sunday i think, i normally take it down today but just feel it needs to stay up a little longer.

ive prepared all the dinner for today, first roast of the year, and its now nicely cooking. my dad is coming up today for dinner with us too, so that will be nice.

at the moment i have paul and james playing monsters , jumping around like lunatics LOL

best go and get on with the dinner, my dads arrived :o)

Hello everyone, hope you all had wonderfull christmasses, ours was nice and quiet, just the five of us on christmas day, then stevie and mike went back home around 6pm, leaving paul, james and myself. boxing day very quiet aswell.

on christmas eve we let tillee open her pressie, she had a new bed (id made) and a stocking with treats and a ball inside........... well the ball hasnt left her side since LOL, plays with it, cries if she cant find it, sleeps with it curled up with her, loves playing fetch with it, and if she thinks youre going to take it and hide it ......... in her mouth it goes LoL she even tried barking with it there earlier.

paul brought me a new bracelet for christmas as id lost mine halloween, its nice to have a little chain with my watch again :o)

also james brought a lovely plaque, made me cry when i opened it.

I also got a lot of smellies for christmas from my step children, and a lovely hooded fleece from mil2b. we had some money also given to us towards our forthcoming wedding arrangements. and my dad,brother and uncle brought me a new kenwood prosper machine, has all the bits to it, lovely large bowl, chopper, liquidiser ......... just amazing............. looks like more making and baking then LOL

Yesterday i sorted james room out for him again, moved his train track table to tother side of room and put his unit on its side so he now seems to have more room (james says it looks more grown up now) LOL.

sorry i havnt been around much on here, had a few hectic weeks again with hospitals etc. bad news with paul, the chemo hes just had hasnt done anything, and the cancer has grown in the liver :o( so as you can imagine a big shock, we thought hed have to have another 6 treatments but didnt even contemplate that the treatment wouldnt work at all and the cancer would grow.
we saw the chemo nurses thursday and both broke down, she sorted everything out for us, and told us to go home enjoy christmas have a few drinks, relax and recoop. the new treatment will not start till january so we can get our heads back round it all and be positive again :o) we are both relieved that we can have a couple of weeks leeway before starting on the new stuff with whatever side effects paul will encounter this time, we are aware of the possible ones, and he may loose his hair this time, so after crimbo will be giving him a grade one all over so not to noticable if he does.
we have both had down times since tuesday, wednesday we were both walking around like fogs situated in our brains, thursday we broke down with sue, today paul got out with a friend and that helped him no end, i was feeling really low this morning, but after a hug, chat and cuppa with his mum felt a lot better and was then able to carry on today. except my ulcer then kicked in with avengence on me have been in pain on and off all afternoon, milk and magnesia with pain killers didnt really touch it so resulted in pepsobismol twice , which after lots of gurgling noises has finally eased it :o) i really should ring my homeopath as she will be able to get rid of it again, its the time factor..... i now feel totally washed out LOL

on a better note ive finished mikes scarf, and 2/3 way through nephews scarf, so only a couple of cushion covers more to make, wrap them up and i think i may be there for christmas at last. o and i need to make fudge, chocolate log, christmas cookies, sausage rolls. so a day in the kitchen too :o)

on another note :o) my maggee may has settled , she and ellie may are now the best of friends , doesnt stop me missing her like hell, but at least i know she is happy and in good hands :o) M sent me a few more pics of her with ellie all snuggled up together the other day :o)

this is some of what ive been making for crimbo presents this year, i dont know what order they have come out as, so there is james' knitted blanket, swapped with friends on the CL forum, also had a friend knit the simpson and thunderbird squares for me, and had a few extras sent to me as id not quite enough.
there are three scarves, xmas bags, denim bags which the charms are to go on once ive finished them, pic of a few of them too. a new stick bag for pauls long net poles, my dads head and arm covers for his chair and sofa, and my mums patchwork cushion i made today. also a blue PE type bag for the nephew. im in the process of knitting blue scarves one for the nephew the other for mike paul's eldest. and still need to finish off a hat my mum helped me with. think thats all for the moment.

hi all its already 3rd december , where has the year gone, feels like yesterday rather than a year ago i was sorting christmas stuff out.

well im very slowly getting there, im in the prosess of putting james blanket together then ran out of squares for the borders. so one of my friends has kindly knitted me some more squares up to help, another is knitting a strip up for me to border the blanket and i have two more friends sending squares to me from the swap friendship blanket, so hopefully by the end of the week i should have enough to finish it then will post up a pic :o)
i have nearly finished the third scarf off, have done my dads head and arm rest covers for his sofa and chair. have made 3 denim bags and 5 christmas bags. 2/3 way finishing a hat. and another dear friend is kindly knitting another hat up for me. ive made the secret santa swap and secret decoration swap , ive managed to get most of the christmas cards signed and sent off today, just hand delivery ones to go and hope ive not forgotten anyone.

now what else needs doing,LOL , two scarves, patchwork cushion covers, finish bag dangly jewels im also making, cooking, need to make biscuits and sweets . also going to make a chocolate log for christmas this year. dont have fruit cake and puds anymore as im the only one who really likes them so seemed a waste of money to me.

paul and i are doing a little bit of shopping tomorrow need to find a few bits to go with the made bits, then can get on with the other taskes .

hi everyone, thank you for reading my blog :o)
im trying to keep up with everything but not really succeeding LOL
have mountains of christmas gifts to make, you know the one, just needs time........
i have made all the christmas cards now , just need to sign, address and send.. did go to do them saturday got two signed, just couldnt get into it..... you know have to be really in the mood, will attempt sometime this week, well need to get james school pic photocopied first really, so once id realised id not done that, defeated the object really so must get them done.. at least they are in my bag now one step closer then :o) i have lots of cousins and older friends of the family as well as relatives spread around, so they like a pic to see how he is.

couldnt believe it paul and i were looking at all james school pics from reception to now (keep in same frame) and the change from a baby at 4 to a little man now at 8 and just in four years......... just wow........... when i go to the school to collect james, you see the little ones and they are just babies. most are still only 4 or just starting to have their 5th birthdays.

quick update on maggee may, i had an email from michael the other day, and she and ellie may are both starting to get on well, infact he does not intervein now if mags starts, as ellie will just stand over her until she behaves herself, lol. and because mags is so good and obedient on and off the lead, he has started to attach ellie to her so she goes back and learns the same as mags does. says ellie is fine till going home time, then stands 10 foot away lol, this way as mags comes back to you and sits to have her lead put back on ellie has no choice but to do the same.
he sent a couple of pics and she does look more settled, so only a matter of time and im sure will be fine :o) they both also now sleep together so thats good. and also one of his nephews came over the other day and played football with her, he didnt manage to get the ball much mind lol, but she loved playing football with james, so was good for her :o)
i still miss her terribly, but i know its for the best, my tillee tots is far happier now too and is back to her old playfull, full of character self, also very chatty barky lol, as soon as we leave the house , especially if walking james to school she barks and barks to let every one know shes on her way, then when waiting in the evening for him she gets fed up and sits there barking for him to hurry up, which everyone of course finds highly amusing, especially the children who love to pet her. it is easier with just tills what with all the hospital visits etc. and she doesnt need to go out everyday, or can ,manage a small walk inbetween longer ones on other days, whereas my mags had to go out everyday and for longer walks and have the training for her head all the time or shed get very bored and myschievious as collies do... and she wasnt a hypa collie either.

wow what a week, just looked and its been another week since posting .....

well i rearranged our bedroom so now i have a nice crafty side of the room and space to cut and make :o) just need the time now to do stuff lol..... and there is now room to set up the knitting machine :o) again just a time issue........

i also sorted james room on sunday gave him one of my tables and put the futon frame behind / under his cabin bed, i need to make a cover for the matress part as have put as a cushion folded on the floor with all his other cushions on top, he says it is far better and has given him more room :o)

had to go and see his teachers again this week, as he got very upset tuesday, think it all a build up what with maggee may going and paul not the best of people to be around when he comes off the steroids for a couple of days, so fireworks flew and james and myself ended up crying, all back to normal now and paul is now fine again, this is the good weekend then treatment starts again monday and away we all go again............ tired, sicky, fatigued, tetchy, hungry, bear just out of hybernation......... then in two weeks time back to normal for a few days LOL no wonder we have ups and downs, then paul wonders why i dont sleep and why i get ratty ..... sel a vie..... all will get better. and he wonders why james gets like he does, poor lad hes only 8 1/2 .......

well thats me done for the moment, my brain seems to be half awake today, should have popped on here yesterday when it felt a bit more alive. im sure in a couple of days will be ok.
o and i have made a few more xmas cards, and pies and biscuits and soya milk and normal dinners all week too. and scrubbed the bathroom sunday, still looks nice and clean :o)

dedication to my maggee may

ive had to rehome my maggeemay, and found a lovely home for her in portsmouth, we met half way today in eastbourne , she did her usual roll on the back for belly rubble, and was really silly with them, the lady Lynne who will be her new mum, was lovely and mags will have a super time with her, she has woods, streams, and a beach near them, so maggee heaven. have been very upset at letting her go but we had no choice due to tillee and maggee fighting and generally starting not to get on :( , since been informed that collies and terriers do not often get on. so as maggee was getting older and coming into her own the problems started, and tillee was becoming very unhappy and distresed by it all. we now can see how much as tillee has settled with us tonight properly for the first time in ages and is all snuggled up to me on the sofa on a new blankey and a chewey bone.

so im posting pics of mags from 8 weeks old to 21months old when we said a very tearfull and heart renching goodbye.

so heres maggee may and hope she settles in quickley in her new loving home with her new mum :)

ok lets see 6 random things about myself LOL

1 . i love all nature, the wildlife, colours, the changing seasons , flowers , just the pure beauty of mother nature herself :)
2. i adore cats, and used to have 2 brother and sister pixie and charlie, im not allowed any here as paul says we have enough with the two dogs, 2 ferrets and now 3 polecats , so he does have a point LOL
3. i love DIY, and will put my hands to most things, from unblocking sink pipes to putting up shelves, also decorating.
4. i can service a car if i have too, and can change wheels. one of my friends OH's once called on my services as didnt know how to change a wheel on his car.
5. im into all natural therapies and will always endevour to use alternative before conventional.
6. i have an upper neurological problem, which causes me great pain at times in my arms and hands, but i will perservere and not be beaten by it, it has stopped me doing soooooo much and still does at times but i will go back to the job in hand when i can even if it takes me weeks to complete which at times it does.

new old sewing machine and lace making box

this is the sewing machine i was given by my neighbour the other day, ive always wished for a hand sewing machine and wow i now have one, it works a treat and has loads of bobbins and bits with it :)

this is the old lace making box i was given today, needs some renovation but its lovely, also the needles and cotton were also in the draws within the box.

heres a few pics of what ive been up to this week, except the grim reeper one, which is what james has dressed up as tonight for his school halloween ghoulish disco .

this is a roman dress i made for a friends little girl for school today, she is in year 3 and they are studying romans.

the next two are year 4 ancient egyptian, the dress was for georgia next door and the pharoah is of course james, with his i later added gold to it to bring it out and it finished it off nicely, forgot to take a pic though this morning LOL.

seem to be making this a habit at the moment only posting once a week, oops.

well busy week again more hospitals and hospitals and hospitals , but i wont bore you with them LOL

at least this saturday was what i call a normalish day, got up later than rest of week, took the girls out for a lovely walk just paul and myself through the woods, o i do love autumn all natures colours littered throughout the leafs falling from the trees, rustling noises you turn and look just to see another leaf dropping from above. rustling on the ground as you walk amongst the fallen leaves gorgeous, i could quite easily loose myself completely in there, infact when im on my own i often do :)

i had to do the dreaded shop today as had run out of loads of things and couldnt put it off any longer, well that done i needed a cuppa, then was able to make the soya milk, ginger nuts and hobnobs. with that all done, i prepared tea, homemade kebabs tonight which mike and his girlfriend also had with us.

james is with his grandad again this weekend, but they are going to romney,hythe & dymchurch railway for a bugs day, its been a lovely day down here so im sure they would have had a good time, james will tell me all about it tomorrow LOL.

we have also made a start on building our chook house, and once finished will sort all the fencing out, so we can get our chickens :D we were going to wait till springtime, but one of our friends has told about a place that breeds them all year round, and we will be able to buy ones that are just getting old enough to be laying for about £3 each, so with that knowledge , have decided why are we waiting to do and get something we've been dreaming of for soooooooo long.

watch this space im hoping by november they will be insitue. then just the names to sort LOL

we also increased our fur baby family the other day, we have a new little polecat, called smudge. she is soooooo cute and very friendly, still settling in properly but ol'barney bear has taken her under his wing, and she is playing with bandit our other polecat, also puff and annie the ferrets, annie is getting on now and sleeps quite a bit, but puff is normally up and playing with the youngsters and mothering them LOL.

thought id better say hello as havnt posted all week, been bit hectic and lots of ups and downs this week.
i went for a lovely walk today on my own with the girls, went right down into the bottom woods which was lovely, could smell the woods, earthy woody just gorgeous, the girls had a good time and i was out for nearly 2 hours, i think i needed it as much as they did, its like a freedom and escape from everything going on, peacefull and serene all in one, back to nature, heavenly.
ive also been cycling more this week as from wednesday we have had lovely weather down here, james loves cycling to school as do i, and i do two runs there and back each day, i also popped into the farmers market thursday, so had 3 runs out on my bike, and we went to the supershop after school thursday so even extra miles. James loves shopping by bike with me.

my dad popped in tonight on his way home and has taken james with him for the weekend, think this will do him good, and give him a break from everything going on at home with his dad, hes been very tense lately and we think very frightened of whats been going on, i mean i have trouble dealing with it all so how does an 8yr old cope..................... paul is also having trouble with it all, hates feeling so tired all the time, and now his arm has swollen and pain in his shoulder, we are just hoping that the pick line has not done anything it shouldnt have, and is just muscle fatigue from a very old injury in his shoulder. but am keeping an eye on things and checking all is ok, or we will be back in casualty again like last night but this time waiting for an xray of his chest. will see.

ive had two lovely surprises this week, two of my friends Linda and jennie on the creative living forum, have sent me maltesers, yes its a weakness of mine LOL. also linda sent james a special worry stone in its own little bag, it is gorgeous shaped as a heart, and sunday paul and i are going to put our love into to, so if james gets worried about anything when hes not with us, he can take it out hold it tight and know our love is with him, so hopefully easing or taking away the worry. such a lovely thought.

ive been knitting christmas presents as well this week, and still trying to make a bat for halloween, nearly done but keep getting interuptions. have also started on a camoflage bag for paul, hadnt enough fabric in one piece left so have stitched pieces together to make two large pieces ready to sew into a bag for him, will post pics once completed.

thought id share with you yesterday on our walk, it was a glorious day, and you can see the trees changing colour with the autumn, its very peacfull up there, a bit of a hike, but once there just magical, i also picked 2lb of blackberries yesterday.
we have some lovely views from the reserve .

this picture just sums up all the wondrous colours of mother nature.

all the fields around, harvested and ploughed ready for the next planting season, and you can see the trees in the background starting to change.
my OH Paul, first day out for a few days, was feeling heaps better yesterday after his first chemo treatment monday, the doctors have all said other than the cancer he is a very fit healthy man and this is on his side with the treatment and combating (going into remission) of this awfull disease
couldnt resist this maggee may.
i hope youve enjoyed a few pics of one of our havens and all the glorious views from up there.

thought id make a cake tonight, just basic victoria sponge 6,6,6,3 and fresh pineapple layered inbetween, it smells gorgeous but yet to taste. mind it did take 1 1/2hrs to cook.
had a few up and down days , paul commenced chemo monday, and i think everything came to ahead with us both, very emotional. although we are coping i think very well with the illness itself it is all the unnessesary stress you get on top of it that often (well is) causing the breakdowns of emotions, maybe that is good as we do then release, and i suppose dont realise the full extent of the worry until it happens. (the straw that broke the camels back) i think thats what its called LOL.
but ive sewn and baked and we both managed to take the girls out for a walk today, and since then we both feel a lot happier about everything going on again.

and its my brothers birthday today, so Happy Birthday Duncan luv you loads xxxx

i've had a request from hen as to how i made my oven squares below so here you go LOL

Oven squares

You will need fabric of choice.
Wadding normal quilting stuff.
Old material

I cut the top materials 10x9 purely because the oddments of wading I had came to 9x8 ½.

I put all oddments of wading together and placed inside old pillow case fabric then just zoomed the machine through the middle to hold (as oddments were strips) .
I cut 4 pieces of material 10x9
French hemmed 3 sides
Put wadding inside
Attached strip of matching material to top then folded it and sewed that across so sealing the square, then machined across diagonally both ways with approx inch in-between, and I trimmed any excess cotton threads. I then attached another strip of material folded to make a hook in the corner at the top.
Now there is probably a completely and proper way to do these, well there is and I would think it would be to lay all fabric and wading inside together, then machine across diagonally, (quilting properly) finally making edging or putting edging on the outside.
But as I said I quickly knocked them together.

here's some oven squares i made quickly this afternoon, my others were getting very threadbare and Paul kept trying to throw them away LOL, well they are now renegated for the BBQ and i have finally made a couple more. i prefer squares to those long glove things as find it easier to carry hot things with them.

and this is what Paul's mum and dad brought over for us today, eating apples, cooking apples and more tomatoes.

have a relatively quiet day today, took the girls out this morning for a lovely walk in my local woods all by myself just me and my girls LOL, had a lovely peaceful walk didn't see a soul about, just how i like it and it did me good, i sat for 5 minutes on my log in the woods on the way back it is so peaceful and serene.
gave me some time to contemplate all the forthcoming events, Paul is starting his chemo tomorrow and i think i was becoming more anxious than he was, I'm now a lot calmer and more together than before, still feel a little quiet in myself but am happier than i was, we will see what the effects will be, they always give you the worse scenarios, which is very scary, i have to be positive for everyone boosting Paul, keeping everything running as smoothly as possible for all our sakes, but there are times i just want to curl up in a corner and forget the whole world, just hide away for ever more, which of course is not practical with an 8yr old at your heels, who needs to go to school and help with homework etc. so you keep going and have to be strong for everyone even if you don't feel like it some days.

well ive just realised i havnt posted anything since monday, and its now friday, where does the week go, i think it was only GTM on creative living forum who said the same thing this morning, i know we all get busy bees, but boy the days fly by.
paul said to me earlier when we came back from walking the girls, what a busy little home we have, always making or baking or just doing something. well idol hands and all that LOL, keeps us all out of mischief.
today ive made soya milk tend to make 3litres every two - three days, depending really whether james and i have cereal or toast for breakfast, and then i prepared the remaining apples from our little tree harvest and cooked them ready for a crumble later. also sorted out the chicken stock that i cooked deboning and putting in the freezer for another day, then just got back from our walk which was lovely, made sandwich each for us, and put another loaf in the machine to make. so just the kebabs to make later and the crumble top and to cook.

our walk today was glorious a lovely autumnal day, a crispness to the air yet still sunny and warm not to worry about coats yet, we went to st margarets cliffs today for a change, and glad we did, all the berries are red and elderberries purple all the leaves are changing colour , just gorgeous. i wish id taken the camera. we could see france as clear as day again, the sea was flat with just a slight ripple. lovely, we sat on the banks looking out to sea with the girls close by, mags decided to come and flop behind me and then tils decided to rub her face in the grass down hill towards me until she landed on my lap LOL.
we then walked back over the stye and through the edge of a recently ploughed field, part of the field is always left as fallow land so the grasses grow thick and tall, these are now flattened, mags decided to start bouncing all through the grasses and pouncing in the thicker sections, we keep saying when is she going to grow up shes 18months old now and to see her today you would think only 5months old a real puppy dog. but lovely to see, with all the white butterflies flying around her :)

well i have been very busy today on the sewing machine, i have made 4 pillow cases for the lounge, i part quilted the fronts then made an envelope backing for them, sewed them all together and they are far better than the old raggedy things we had which were well paste their sell by date.

i also knitted a dish cloth the other day, finished it yesterday evening, and used it today in the kitchen, am quite chuffed with this.

and ive made two small bags for james when he goes out halloween night.

i did also make 2 pin cushions, so i have one upstairs now for my sewing machine corner, just need another for downstairs.
and have made two now ready for a swop we will be doing on the creative living forum.

had a lovely day today, i think summers arrived, unfortunately its autumn so a bit late LOL

anyway we've had a lovely day and even lit the BBQ this afternoon, had the last of our bunny burgers with salad, mayo and homemade bread rolls, double wammies, were scrumdiddlyumptious .

i did manage to get the freezer defrosted this morning which was an overdue job jobbed, but still have the fridge to do tomorrow. and paul managed to get the sheds and gate creosoted(substitute) with a little help from james, mind after helping with the first one he'd had enough, so brought him him and scrubbed him down.......... i jest not............ had to get the brush and soap on him LOL but we did manage :)

its been so nice actually being able to sit out the front drinking, cooking ,eating and chatting whilst james and his friends played, how the summer used to be many moons ago.

Halloween fabrics

i just happened to pop into my favourite shop this morning, and came away with three fat qrts of fabric, and some felt to make some lovely Halloween bits and pieces, i might make James a small bag out of the ghostly one for when he goes partying and trick/treat at friends doors on Halloween.

this is a blue purple ghostly one.

and the purple one (i think Leanne will love this one) also you can see a glimpse to the left of the black back ground same design.
arnt they just gorgeous, the purple is slightly darker in real life.

a walk on the reserve today

Had a lovely walk this morning over the local reserve, we were out for 2hours, on route i did manage to take a few pics of the native butterflies, when they condesended to stay still LOL.
it was a lovely day and did paul, myself and the girls maggee may and tillee tot the world of good.

then once home after the school run i made damson jam, apple pie and roast chicken for tea.
i was going to make raspberry jam as well, but think enough is enough for today, all so put a loaf on in the bread machine.
